Boat Access:
The DNR operated access is located on 238th street just east of Lofton Ave. N.
Shore Angling:
Anglers fish from shore along the shoulder of 238th street along the north shore of the lake. The area adjacent to the inlet from Moody Lake is especially popular. Some anglers also fish from shore along Lofton Ave N. in the N.W. bay near the outlet. Please respect the shoreline restoration area near the outlet and stay out of the fenced area. Use caution when using this area as Lofton Ave N. is a busy county highway with cars traveling at highway speeds.
Management Plans:
- Fisheries standard lake survey in 2021.
- Stock 81 pounds of Walleye annually.
Aquatic Invasive Species Alert:
This lake contains Eurasian watermilfoil and zebra mussels. Remove any visible plants from your boat, trailer, or other boating equipment before leaving the lake.
Comments:
The access is small, but well suited to the lake. Walleye fishing can be good at times, but vegetation growth can limit shore angling, especially later in the summer. Inlet and outlet structures have been built to limit the movement and recruitment of Common Carp. Over time this project should help improve water quality by reducing carp numbers.
