There are over 22,000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in Minnesota, with over 21,000 miles maintained by local snowmobile club volunteers. When snow conditions allow, Grant-in-Aid trails are open December 1 through March 31 each year. State trails remain open to snowmobilers after April 1 on public land as conditions allow. Early and late season snowmobilers - use extra caution, and be aware of quickly changing conditions.
