Heavy thunderstorms on June 13th and 14th brought heavy rains to northwest Minnesota, specifically to eastern Polk and Clearwater Counties. The heaviest two day amount found was 6.40 inches in Fosston. The heavy rains lead to some flooded basements in the towns of Fosston and McIntosh of Polk County.
In addition to the heavy rains, Minnesota's 4th and 5th tornadoes of the season were sighted. One was a series of brief waterspouts in Clearwater County, and other was observed along the south shore of Red Lake in Beltrami County near the Red Lake Reservation Casino.
