With the 2007 drought now a distant memory for the Twin Cities metro area, the copious rains dropped on the airport from August 1 to October 31 totaled 18.99. This is the new record for the most precipitation from August to October.

THE CURRENT 3 MONTH PRECIPITATION TOTAL IS THE SECOND WETTEST ON RECORD AT JUST OVER 18 INCHES //18.06//. 
THAT IS ABOUT 6 TENTHS OF AN INCH //0.57// UNDER THE CURRENT NUMBER ONE.
IF THE EXPECTED RAINFALL OCCURS IN THE TWIN CITIES OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS THEN 2007 COULD GET BUMPED INTO 
FIRST PLACE FOR THE WETTEST.

AFTER THE RECORD WET AUGUST...SEPTEMBER...OCTOBER IN 1900...THE WINTER SNOWFALL SEASON OF 1900-01...
RECORDED A TOTAL SNOWFALL A LITTLE BELOW NORMAL FOR THE ERA...WITH A TOTAL OF 41.5 INCHES. 
DURING THAT SNOW SEASON THE GREATEST MONTHLY SNOWFALL OCCURRED 
IN MARCH 1901 WHEN 19.1 INCHES WAS RECORDED.
