Not only has March been virtually snow-free across the state, temperatures have been consistently mild through the month. Monthly average temperatures range from three degrees above normal in the southwest, to ten degrees above normal over northern Minnesota. March 2010 finished in the top ten warmest for many places in Minnesota. March has been a dry month too, with precipitation running about an inch below normal over parts of east central and southeast Minnesota.
