Overview:
The 2012 growing season has been extraordinarily wet across sections of central, east central, and northeast Minnesota. Seasonal precipitation totals starting with April 1 exceed 16 inches in many of these areas, topping the historical average by eight or more inches. In some communities, the seasonal rainfall total exceeds 20 inches, more than double the long-term mean. For a large area of northeast Minnesota, and a smaller area of central and southeast Minnesota, April 1-to-present
