Fire departments in Minnesota need to follow the permit conditions to take and transport infested water during fire department training activities. During an emergency, fire departments do not need to follow these permit conditions to take and transport water from an infested water body, or any other surface water body.
You will need a water appropriation permit if you are using more than 10,000 gallons per day or 1 million gallons per year. In case of emergency use of water, you can apply for a permit after the event.
To use this permit
If your activities comply with the permit conditions, you are covered by this permit. You do not need to print this permit or keep a copy in your possession.
