OHV Trail Detail

Nemadji State Forest OHV Trails

Nemadji State Forest OHV Trails

Riders can explore the trails that climb through Nemadji State Forest. The southern trails wind across gently rolling upland, moving to steep stream valleys in the northeast. Tight, wooded, technical OHM single-track trails challenge even the most experienced riders. Trail connections to the Matthew Lourey State Trail and the Gandy Dancer Trail offer additional riding opportunities. The Nemadji State Forest is classified as LIMITED. These trails are provided by Pine County and maintained by the Straight Arrow Enduro Riders motorcycle club, the South Metro ATV club and the MN DNR Parks and Trails office in Moose Lake.

Winter Use: Forest OHV trails are open to winter riding, including some groomed trails for shared snowmobile and ATV use as mapped and signed. The Matthew Lourey State Trail (MLST) within the forest at Granzow Road is open to shared snowmobile and ATV use. ATVs are asked to stay off the groomed snowmobile trail if the temperature is above 30 degrees.

There are no plowed parking lots. Current kiosks with emergency information can be found at the Gafvert Campground.
