Bemis Hill Trails
Located in Beltrami Island State Forest, the Bemis Hill Trails offer more than 96 miles of riding. The trails travel along pine-covered ridges, large areas of low flatland and near peat bogs. These trails are provided by Roseau County and maintained by the Roseau/Lake of the Woods Sportsman's Club.
Parking:
From Warroad, take Co. Rd. 5 south for 11.5 miles to the Clear River Day-use Area.
From Wannaska, take Hwy. 89 south for 1 mile to Co. Rd. 4. Go east 8.6 miles to Thompson Forest Rd. Then north for 6.2 miles to the Bemis Hill Day-use Area.
From Wannaska, take Hwy. 89 south for 1 mile to Co. Rd. 4. Go east for 6 miles to Co. Rd. 9. Turn south for 1 mile to Co. Rd. 19, then east for 9.4 miles to the Winner Silo parking area.
Winter Use: The ATV trails are ungroomed and ATVs are not allowed on groomed snowmobile trails.
The parking lot at Bemis Hill Campground on Thompson Rd is plowed and has stocked vault toilets, as well as at Winner Forest Rd Silo. Normally Thompson Rd, Dicks Pkwy, Roosevelt Norris roads are open. Firewood may be available where there are suitable fireplaces, such as at Bemis.

When open
The following are closed: Barry, Stotts, Mary's, Elkwood, McAdams. Some trails are wet and can be challenging. Pay attention to your surroundings.
