District 12 - Princeton area

CO Mike Krauel (Mora) worked with his COC this week in the area on various wildlife complaints, big-game, and trespassing calls. Taxidermy inspections were completed among local vendors in the area. The officers encountered many individuals operating ATVs illegally throughout the week and enforcement action was taken. The officers assisted Kanabec County with a medical emergency and spent time preparing for the upcoming firearms deer season.
CO Koleby Dingmann (Sauk Rapids) spent the week working big-game and small-game-hunting activity in the area. TIP calls were handled. Multiple nuisance animals were dealt with in the
Sauk Rapids area. A deer farm was inspected after a tagged deer had been shot by a hunter.
CO Justin Frisch (Cambridge) spent time monitoring waterfowl hunters, angling, archery deer hunters, and small-game hunters. An angler was checked with a boat that displayed no registration. Enforcement action was taken.
CO Clint Fitzgerald (Buffalo) spent the week checking waterfowl, pheasant, and deer hunters around Wright County. Time was also spent attending at career fair at Rockford High School and training at Camp Ripley. Enforcement activity included an unplugged shotgun, fail to register a deer, and hunter harassment.
CO Trent Seamans (Big Lake) monitored hunting and angling activity. Additional time was spent handling miscellaneous wildlife-related complaints. Several shooting related questions were fielded. Seamans would like to remind hunters to check local firearms discharge ordinances prior to hunting.
CO Ryan Hanna (Milaca) received a TIP call for someone shooting at swans. Hanna responded and spoke with the father and son about how to identify different migratory waterfowl. Hanna also reminded a hunter that they cannot hunt for the next three years due to forgetting to buy their license while hunting deer.
