Weekly CO report

District 14 - East Metro area

CO Scott Arntzen (Forest Lake) spent the week patrolling area lakes checking anglers and boaters and conducting AIS enforcement. He also investigated complaints regarding the filling of a wetland and the alteration of a shoreline without the required permits. Violations for the week included fishing with an extra line and not having a license in possession.

CO Matt Paavola (Ham Lake) patrolled for angling activity in the area and assisted with fur registration. Violations were addressed. TIP calls were also investigated throughout the week and work continued for ongoing cases.

CO Garrett Thomas (Eagan) monitored local angling activity on both lakes and rivers. Additionally, Thomas assisted in teaching a local firearms safety class and helped a local police department with a fishing outreach event. Thomas also fielded calls related to wetland and public waters work and handled numerous TIP calls.

CO Steve Chihak (Hastings) spent the week working sport fishing and AIS and ATV enforcement. Time was also spent responding to miscellaneous wildlife-related calls. Violations encountered were fishing without a license, no trout stamp, and unleashed dogs on state land.
