Comments: Much of the shoreline is marshy and vegetated leaving the fishing pier as the best place to fish. A canoe or kayak will get you out along the vegetation line where pike and bass like to hang out. Aquatic vegetation can become quite thick in the summer so early summer can be the best time to fish. Ice fishing in the winter can be very good, if you try this be aware of the aeration system that can create areas of thin ice.
