Complete river closure at I-90 in Austin
The river is closed to all watercraft at I-90 in Austin through the end of July. This includes all paddlers and boaters from both upstream and downstream. The I-90 bridge and pier are being demolished and replaced in June and July. Crews will be working near or in the river channel, making it dangerous to be on the water in this area.
Upstream: Three river miles upstream from I-90, paddlers can exit the river at a small rock access on Wolf Creek in Austin's Wildwood Park. Road access is on 17 Avenue NE, about 200 feet east of the landing.
Downstream: Use the city boat ramp on Austin Mill Pond.
